The DJI Inspire 3 will be up in the air on April 13th
Just a few more nights of sleep, and then we can finally see the new DJI Inspire 3. We know for sure that we will see the new professional drone on April 13 at 06:00 Pacific Time, since DJI shared an image of the drone on their trailer page.
The world premiere of the DJI Inspire 3 starts with a teaser page on the DJI website. The Inspire 3 succeeds the DJI Inspire 2, one of the longest-used DJI products. The Inspire series offers the option of swapping lenses and being piloted by two pilots. This means there is a pilot flying the drone and an operator in front of the camera.
The teaser page on the DJI website is well-designed and shows the history of the flying camera. In 2014, the DJI Inspire was introduced to the market and the first to be able to film in 4K and the ability to rotate the camera 360 degrees.

Why does it take so long for the DJI Inspire 2 to follow up?
The DJI Inspire 2 is the drone that has lasted most years without a successor. Why? Because DJI really wanted this. Thanks to the possibility to change lenses and good firmware updates, the DJI Inspire 2 was made ‘future-proof’ in 2016. And it is special that a drone from 2016 still far exceeds most prosumer drones (literally and figuratively). But, after years of innovation, DJI also sees that it is time for a new model with new functions.

Little is known about the features of the DJI Inspire 3, and we can only rely on the rumors and official photos. From the photos, we can see that the Inspire 3 looks a lot like its predecessor, picking up where they left off. DJI wants to “redefine aerial cinematography”.
